2. The Expendables (2010)

PL: Ten film to coś niesamowitego. Jest zły, a zarazem wspaniały. Ten pastisz na reaganomatografię i kino lat 80. idealnie wypełnia lukę w obecnym kinie. Sly Stallone, legenda, zebrał swoich kumpli ze starych dobrych lat: Dolpha Lundgrena, Erica Robertsa, Bruce’a Willisa, Arniego, Mikirurkę, dorzucił do nich “młodziaków” czyli Stathama i Jeta Li i nakręcił totalną rozpierduchę.

ENG: The movie is just something amazing. It's bad and at the same time it's amazing. This pastiche on the reaganomatography and the '80s movies,  fits really great contemporary cinema. Legendary Sly Stallone collets his buddies from the old good times: Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Bruce Willis, Arnie and Mickey, and invites some „fresh” blood like Statham or Jet Li  to raise hell all together.

PL: Eastern Promises to thriller z duża dozą czarnego humoru w reżyserii samego Davida Cronenberga. Tym razem reżyser "Muchy" opowiada nam historię rosyjskiej mafii w Londynie i poniekąd rosyjskich tatuaży. Ale po kolei. Boże Narodzenie, w szpitalu rodzi się dziewczynka, jej matka umiera. Pielęgniarka Anna kradnie pamiętnik matki i postanawia go przetłumaczyć, aby dojść do rodziny dziewczynki (ciekawostka, wujka Anny gra Jerzy Skolimowski, miło). Wtedy Anna wpada w niezły szajs.

ENG: Eastern Promises is a thriller movie well spiced with black humour, directed by David Cronenberg himself. This time, the "Fly" director brings us to London into (tattooed) world of Russian mafia. But let's start from the beginning. Christmas, a girl is born, the mother dies in childbirth. Nurse Anna steals the woman's diary and decides to translate it to find the newborn's family, descending into London's expatriate Russian underworld.
