tattooed-movies: 2. The Expendables (2010)

PL: Ten film to coś niesamowitego. Jest zły, a zarazem wspaniały. Ten pastisz na reaganomatografię i kino lat 80. idealnie wypełnia lukę w obecnym kinie. Sly Stallone, legenda, zebrał swoich kumpli ze starych dobrych lat: Dolpha Lundgrena, Erica Robertsa, Bruce’a Willisa, Arniego, Mikirurkę, dorzucił do nich “młodziaków” czyli Stathama i Jeta Li i nakręcił totalną rozpierduchę.

ENG: The movie is just something amazing. It's bad and at the same time it's amazing. This pastiche on the reaganomatography and the '80s movies, fits really great contemporary cinema. Legendary Sly Stallone collets his buddies from the old good times: Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Bruce Willis, Arnie and Mickey, and invites some „fresh” blood like Statham or Jet Li to raise hell all together.

PL: Nieważne są suche żarty (sms na akcji), typowo pornolaste panienki (ta którą przywozi ze sobą Rourke to tragedia), testosteron w liczbie 5043574365 %. Ważna jest ta męskość, duże noże, reminesencje i dobra zabawa. No i tatuaże. Każdy z chłopaków ma na sobie jakąś dziarę, a przynajmniej logo ekipy. Nie byle jakiej, bo to ekipa najemników, która obali dyktaturę na zamówienie. Przy okazji będą kobiety i tatuaże. Powtarzam się? Możliwe, ale taki jest ten film. Laska, dziara, rozpierducha, laska, dziara, rozpierducha. I’M FUCKING LOVIN’ IT!!! Funkcja tatuażu w tym filmie jest jedna i jedyna i wyraża się w zdaniu, które kiedyś usłyszałem od bardzo fajnego gościa: “Masz tatuaż? Jesteś już mężczyzną.”

ENG: The beard jokes, cheesy girls and all this testosterone are not important, what is, is the masculinity, long knives, reminiscences and lots of fun. And tattoos, of course.

Each of the guys has a tatt, even if it's just a team logo. Not just a team, but the team of mercenaries paid to overthrow a dictature. There will be women and tattoos. Am I repeating myself? The role of tattoo is just one and only, and can be easily expressed thru a nice sentence I've heard once from one guy: „So, you've got a tattoo? You're a man already”

PL: Warsztat Barneya Rosa (Stallone) - jednocześnie studio tatuażu - mnóstwo akwarelii, oldskulowych fotek, jest męsko.

ENG: Barney Ros' (Stallone) workshop – and a tattoo parlour at the same time – lots of painting and flashes.

PL: Barney szykuje się do dokończenia swojego tatuażu na plecach przez Toola (Rourke) - prawdziwego znawcę kobiet, twardziela i artystę.

ENG: Barney is getting ready to get his tattoo finished by Tool (Rourke), a true womanizer, tough guy and artist.

PL: Tool ma na klacie skorpiony, na brzuchu anioła. Barney - rękawy w kwiaty, tygrysy. Plus napis "Sine Metu" - czyli "Bez strachu".

ENG: Scorpions on Tool's chest, and a angel on his stomac. And Barney's sleeves covered with flowers and tigers and "Sine Metu".

PL: Voila - w kilka minut napis dokończony ;)
